Brighterdaysahead Confirmed for Champion Hurdle Bid at 2025 Cheltenham Festival

The clash is on, Constitution Hill has a big challenger for his crown, it has today been confirmed that Brighterdaysahead from the Gordon Elliott yard will take her chance in the Champion Hurdle next Tuesday, on day one of the Cheltenham Festival.
The mare gets a 7lb allowance, she's a talented individual, and is the main danger to Constitution Hill, based on the field so far, and also based on the confirmed runners up to now.
A brave move, the right move, and one that gives the showpiece on day one, plenty more to like about it.
Potential for Day One Blockbuster in Champion Hurdle
Day one could turn out to be a real blockbuster. Always a big betting day, where many Cheltenham betting offers and free bets are available, the Champion Hurdle has now turned into a proper betting heat with this news.
There's the possible addition of Lossiemouth, who has a bit to prove, but would add more intrigue to the race, and all in all, it's great that there's genuine top class challengers going up against Constitution Hill.
Prior to this, State Man, last years winner, was the only credible danger really, and he's been well below par all season.
But with this, Cheltenham day 1 tips are going to be more varied, and it should give us a lot more betting chat for the feature of the day, rather than everyone agreeing that Constitution Hill is a certainty but too short to back.
Brighterdaysahead Champion Hurdle Second Favourite
It's hard to say for certain that there's been money for Brighterdaysahead since the announcement, due to some firms going non runner no bet, and others not, she was a wild range of prices.
But generally speaking, now she is shorter in the betting, around 2/1 with many firms, while Constitution Hill is a best price of 8/11 as the odds on favourite.
This is the closest that the Champion Hurdle odds have been for some weeks, and a fair reflection of what we will see on the day.
If Lossiemouth runs, I think she's third favourite behind the front two, she's generally 4/1 with those offers NRNB, a similar price to where she'll be next Tuesday if she turns up.
