Championship Odds and Fixtures
Championship Acca of the Week
We had a winner on Wednesday night as our 11/1 came in, so let's get on a bit of a roll and make it two from two with this latest selection of four and I think we've got a pretty decent fixture list to choose from.
Coventry v Hull - Coventry to win
This is a bit of a risk one to start us off with, given that Coventry have made a mixed start under Frank Lampard and Hull got an immediate point under Ruben Selles.
I am counting on home advantage counting for the Sky Blues however. I think Hull got a point by virtue of playing at home during the week but I think it will be back to losing ways come Saturday.
I think everyone knows Coventry should be doing better than they are this season, so I think slowly but surely the results will start to turn and a home game against Hull is exactly where they should start - don't be surprised if it is to nil either.
Swansea v Sunderland - BTTS
This is one of the games of the weekend I think, with an improving Swansea side up against a Sunderland side falling back into the pack after a stunning start to the season.
Their pretty average recent run shouldn't be taken as proof that they are a poor side, it's more that they couldn't maintain that start and they are regressing back to the mean.
Likewise, Swansea had a poor start but have picked up. Their underlying numbers were always pretty strong so this was always going to happen and they're now a realistic play-off hopeful with work still to do.
These are two good teams. Sunderland have some injury worries which will hurt them but I think we're probably looking at a draw here, but certainly both sides scoring.
Middlesbrough v Millwall - Middlesbrough to win
Boro were really impressive despite defeat to Leeds on Tuesday night. Not many sides have been to Elland Road this season and held their own while giving it a bit of a go with the ball.
Their only issue has been consistency, and if they can sort that out then they should be a dead-cert for the play-offs.
I think Neil Harris' departure will hit Millwall hard. They were really struggling before he came in and unless they get a proven manager to replace him, I think things could spiral so I have this down as a home win.
Sheffield United v Plymouth - Sheffield United to win to nil
This should be a pretty obvious one in my mind.
To be fair, Plymouth have only been nilled once in the last six matches so they do have scoring potential but in their previous two visits to automatic-chasing sides (Leeds and Burnley) they have been found wanting.
They are actually bottom of the away form table with no wins and just three goals scored in 10 matches. I think that is pretty damning.
