Championship Acca of the Week
We get cracking with another Championship acca this week, without our four-fold coming in at 27/1. Let's take a closer look at the selections highlighted.
Sunderland v Stoke - Sunderland to win and BTTS
Having made a flying start to the season, Sunderland have stalled significantly in recent weeks and are without a win since the end of October - that's six matches ago.
I'm not surprised that they have dropped out of the race for the automatics, but it has been quite a run.
With home games to come against Stoke and Bristol City this week though, I think they can claw back a bit of that momentum, starting on Saturday.
I think their poor form will see them concede but having not scored for two matches themselves I think they will have enough to get over the line this time.
Leeds v Derby - Leeds to win to nil
This has been an old favourite of mine this season, and with good reason.
Leeds might have lost to Blackburn last weekend but on home turf they are a real force to be reckoned with, with seven wins in nine games at Elland Road this season.
Six of those home wins this season have been to nil, including the last three. I think this seems a pretty safe selection.
Luton v Swansea - BTTS
During the first part of the season, Swansea were really struggling to score goals and could be relied on for under 2.5 goals in whatever game they were playing.
It was pretty obvious from the underlying numbers however that that wouldn't continue forever, and the last three games is evidence of this.
They lost 3-4 to Leeds, beat Derby 2-1 and drew 2-2 with Portsmouth in their last three games, so this looks nailed on for a BTTS - particularly with Luton winning their last two home games.
Millwall v Coventry - BTTS
Millwall's fine form has subsided a little and they are without a win in three - all of which have been 1-1.
The hosts here don't score many goals but they will fancy themselves against a struggling Coventry side, but I do fancy Frank Lampard's arrival at the club to spark something from the Sky Blues.
Four of their last five games have seen BTTS come in (they failed to score against Burnley like so many do) and Lampard's sides are known for prioritising attacking play while not staying tight at the back.
