Hibernian v Queen’s Park Match Preview
It’s a big season for Hibs under new coach David Gray, having parted ways with Lee Johnson and Nick Montgomery last term - a season of stability on and off the field is a top priority for Hibs fans.
The Hibees have looked impressive in pre-season and in Saturday’s clash with Elgin, but Queen’s Park arrive in the capital on an excellent run of form - unbeaten in their last four competitive games, with an aggregate score of 12-0.
They look a solid outfit under boss Callum Davidson and the Spiders have the potential to make tonight’s clash a competitive affair and are likely to score given their recent form.
However, Hibs should ultimately be too strong over the 90 minutes, so a bet on a Hibs win and both teams to score looks like a solid play.
Vente to continue fine start
Dutch striker Vente joined Hibs at the start of last season with a big reputation, having scored 44 goals in the previous two campaigns for Dutch second-tier club Roda JC.
Sadly for Hibs fans, his first season in Scotland was underwhelming - the 25-year-old managed only eight goals across all competitions, with just two coming after the turn of the year.
However, Vente looked sharp on Saturday against Elgin, scoring a hat-trick and with confidence high after his three-goal performance, he looks a decent bet to grab the first goal at Easter Road this evening.
