In Riyadh, those involved are claiming that Parker-Bakole is a “better fight” than the original slated Dubois-Parker.
Whilst that may be a little bit of a push, Bakole is a live, credible opponent that has no right in putting his career on the line with 48 hours notice.
So, Bakole deserves bundles of credit and bundles of money; which I am sure he will get both of.
It’s business as usual for Parker despite a change in game plan, but in fighting the likes of Zhilei Zhang, Deontay Wilder and Simon Kean over his last three contests, the Kiwi is used to adapting to an array of styles.

Parker’s wins over Zhang and Wilder varied hugely, but underlined the array of arsenal that he has at his disposal.
The Kiwi showed massive heart to climb up off the canvas twice against the big Chinese fighter, and showed incredible concentration and patience to fend off the scary attacks of the “Bronzed Bomber”.
Bakole is dangerous, but ultimately underprepared, and Parker should be able to use his experience to get over the line and protect his status at the top of the heavyweight ladder.
Joseph Parker to win by KO/TKO/Disqualification
It would be a surprise if the judges were needed in this one.
Bakole looks big and his conditioning will surely come under scrutiny later in the fight if Parker is able to keep a constant rhythm of attack throughout the contest.
Parker may not be a one-punch KO artist but his clubbing shots from an array of angles could cause the late-replacement problems.
