Leeds v Derby Match Preview
Last week's 1-0 defeat to Blackburn was a minor road bump for Daniel Farke and Leeds, but they should get back on track on home turf against Derby in one of Saturday's early kick-offs.
Leeds' home form has been superb, with sevens wins and a draw in their nine matches at Elland Road so they should be fairly confident of another win, particularly with players coming back to fitness.
There are certainly questions to be asked about Leeds' setup away from home and whether or not that's going to be a factor in the race for automatic promotion, but when it comes to home form, there should be no doubts over their quality.
At the moment, I'm pretty confident each week when they play at Elland Road that they will record a comfortable win and with three out of the next four on home turf they should be able to establish themselves in the top two once more, but they're not the heavy favourites for the league that they were at the start of the season - in my opinion.
Derby have just six points on the road this season and are down near the bottom of the away league table, but regardless of the opposition I expect Farke's side to show their quality.
Leeds' last three wins at home have all been to nil, and I don't expect that to change here. The odds aren't amazing, but at 11/10 it seems a good place to start with BetVictor.
As I mentioned, I don't see Derby being able to cause too many problems even if supporters do have fond memories of the play-off win under Frank Lampard six years ago, so I'm looking to Leeds once again in my second tip.
Farke seems to have settled on Joel Piroe as his starting striker and while he hasn't been entirely convincing, he has been finding the net. So for Piroe to score the first goal, Leeds to win and over 2.5 goals in the game, you can get 11/1 at bet365 which I think is a decent option.
