Leeds v Middlesbrough Match Preview
Leeds recovered from a surprise defeat to Blackburn with a comfortable win over Derby on Saturday, sending them back to the top of the Championship table, albeit temporarily.
Despite their mixed fortunes on the road, things remain very stable at Elland Road and mean the Whites remain on track for the two points-per-game target that Farke highlighted at the beginning of the season.
Up next though they face a Boro side who have already been victorious at Elland Road this season - they hammered Leeds in the Carabao Cup - and are on the back of a well-deserved point at Burnley on Friday.
Michael Carrick's side are a dangerous team - they gave Leeds a fright in West Yorkshire last year as well - and have scored plenty of goals on the road this season, currently leading the goalscoring charts in terms of away goals.
It sets us up for a thrilling night at Elland Road. While Leeds have only conceded twice at home and had a number of wins to nil, it's hard to see that continuing especially with first-choice full-backs Jayden Bogle and Junior Firpo out injured.
I'm expecting a fun game tonight, but still with Leeds getting the edge so I fancy a Leeds win and over 3.5 goals at 4/1 with Paddy Power for my first tip of the game.
There is plenty of attacking talent in the Boro side, with Ben Doak, Emmanuel Latte Lathe, Harry Conway and Finn Azaz four players in particular who can cause issues for anyone.
With quite a few goals expected in the game, I'm looking at an anytime goalscorer double for my second tip, and Dan James in particular who loves playing against teams who are willing to have a go.
He should get plenty of space in behind the Boro defence so I think he'll be on target, and then Azaz has been one of the players of the season in the Championship with six goals and seven assists - so for the two of them to score you can get 21/1 with Unibet.
