Lossiemouth Favourite for Mares' Hurdle & Skips Champion Hurdle

One of the major talking points over the last few days has been which race Lossiemouth will run in.
After seemingly being slightly more towards the Champion Hurdle, when Tuesday's declarations were released this morning, she was in the Mares' Hurdle, and out of the Champion.
Paul Townend will take the ride, and she's immediately been installed as the odds on favourite to win the race.
Just 48 hour until the festival and we've got some huge Cheltenham free bets and offers from some of the leading UK betting brands.
Lossiemouth Goes Down the Easier Route at Cheltenham
There's no doubting that the Mares' Hurdle is the easy option for Lossiemouth. A race that she's got the ability to dominate, the latest Mares' Hurdle odds show that she is odds on for the race.
This is ahead of Jade De Grugy, also for the Willie Mullins stable, so he now has the first and second favourite for that race.
But you can't help but think he would have been better adding to his Champion Hurdle roster, perhaps even more so when you look at the form State Man has been in this season.
He won the race in 2024, but Lossiemouth would surely have been ahead of him in the betting, and the choice of Paul Townend, had she gone there.
She will likely be a banker for many on the opening day in the Mares' Hurdle, and no doubt feature heavily amongst Cheltenham day 1 tips as they come out.
Mares' Hurdle Latest Odds
When the news about Lossiemouth moving to the Mares' Hurdle was released, all betting sites were quick to install her as the odds on favourite to win the race.
She's ahead of Jade De Grugy, who is talented and her stablemate at second favourite, but there's a gulf in class between them when they are both at their best.
Mullins has also declared Gala Marceau for the Mares' Hurdle, so a lack of options is definitely not the reason for this Lossiemouth switch.
