Next Blackpool Manager Odds: Richie Wellens to Return? New Favourite

Ryan Lowe was initially installed as favourite, but there’s a new man at the top of the market with betting sites, and it’s an old favourite, potentially coming back for a return.

Next Blackpool Manager: Front Runners
Here’s a look at the names at the head of the betting to be the next Blackpool manager.
Richie Wellens
A former player, and firm favourite at Blackpool, Richie Wellens would certainly ease tensions at the club, and get fans on side.
Current manager at Leyton Orient in League One, it would be a slight move up, but staying in the same league, however the pull of a return to Blackpool would surely be there for Wellens.
Ryan Lowe
Sacked from Preston last week, this neighbouring club could give Lowe a move straight back into the hot seat, if he wants it.
A sensible choice dropping down a league, this would all depend on if Lowe wants to get straight back in, or take some time off, and wait for the Plymouth job to come back up when Wayne Rooney feels the pressure.
Pete Wild
A free agent after leaving Barrow at the end of last season, Wild is likely to be a contender for most League One jobs that come up this season, until he finds somewhere.
Given his budget, Wild did an excellent job, and knows the area well, which could help give him an upper hand over most.
Brian Barry Murphy
Since leaving the Manchester City set up in the summer, it’s been a case of when Brian Barry Murphy gets a full time head coach position, not if.
Also linked with Preston last week, this is definitely in the right area for him, and the top half of League One may suit better than the bottom half of the Championship, for a rookie boss.
