16 teams have made it through and here we are going to look at the NHL Stanley Cup odds for all of those teams.
The betting market looks wide open, to the extent that the favourite is different, depending on the bookmaker you bet with.

Stanley Cup Odds - Current Favourites
Let’s take a look through the main contenders for the Stanley Cup.
Carolina Panthers
Favourites with most, but not all online bookmakers, the Carolina Panthers are incredibly deep, and that’s their main strength.
Toe to toe against the top lines in the game, I don’t think the Hurricanes have something that matches up well, but when you hit their depth, they’ve got a third and fourth line to do the business.
A sneaky move to add Jake Guentzel at the deadline is looking better by the minute, over a point a game since arriving, and even more depth for the Hurricanes to throw at teams.
New York Rangers
A star in every position, Igor Shesterkin in goal, Adam Fox on the blueline and Artemi Panarin in attack, the Rangers have the standards set by those three.
Depth may come into question a little, but at the top end of their roster, the Broadway boys are elite.
Panarin comes off a great season, he’ll be tasked with leading them for a deep post season run.
Edmonton Oilers
In a similar build to the Rangers, Edmonton also have stacks of talent at the top of their roster, led of course by Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl as has been the case for many years.
In the past they’ve struggled to balance right, but Evan Bouchard is hitting big numbers defensively, and Stuart Skinner has been better.
Of course, to be contenders, both of those two need to hold up.
Florida Panthers
The main forward core for the Panthers is excellent, a real blend of everything, speed, power, goals, playmaking, and they’re carried by that.
Down the middle, they’re elite, and how many times have we seen big goals come from third and fourth line players in the playoffs? I see plenty coming from this group.
The question for me is defensively, are they good enough, and can their defenceman take pressure off the forward by chipping in with some points?
Dallas Stars
The development of Jake Oettinger in goal and Jason Roberston as a forward have come at once, giving a new core for the Stars to build around.
The old guard are still around, to bring vital experience, but this is a team with a new core, new identity and looking to impress.
I worry about them defensively, when you take away their top pairing, but this team could outscore that.
Colorado Avalanche
With Nathan MacKinnon leading the front end, and Cale Makar leading the back end, it’s no wonder the Avs are considered box office.
But in terms of winning again, and giving #29 and #8 another cup, well goaltending is the biggest issue stopping that right now.
While the Avs are great to watch, they’re vulnerable in goal, and you can only outscore your problems for so long. If Alexander Georgiev can flick a switch and become hot, that would be a massive boost to their chances.
