Procore Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips - Day One

The dust may have settled after the FedEx Cup playoffs, and two weeks on, the spotlight now falls on the Procore Championship.
Kickstarting the autumnal swing of the PGA Tour, there is plenty at stake in Napa Valley, California.
Yes, there will be a plethora of players looking to secure their Tour cards for 2025, with the top 125 retaining their status, while those in Nos. 126-150 conditionally in.
There will be a few familiar faces this week, including Sahith Theegala, the reigning champion, and some will be involved in the upcoming Presidents Cup.
I have already provided some insights and outright tips on the main tournament, but now my focus will be on the groupings for the first round.
The tee times have been released and I have shared some Procore Championship 3-ball betting tips for you to tuck into, plus our best golf betting offers from the top online bookmakers.
Procore Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips - Day One
Check out my three selections for the opening round in Napa on Thursday, which are ideal for a 15/1 golf acca.
Sahith Theegala to beat Wyndham Clark & Max Homa
Arguably the popcorn grouping of the first round, Theegala has been paired with Wyndham Clark and Max Homa, and there is plenty of star power on show.
Homa may have been far from his best this season, failing to trouble the leaderboards generally since his T8 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Still, let’s not forget he is a two-time winner at the Procore Championship, so perhaps his credentials shouldn’t be questioned.
Clark, meanwhile, has been carrying plenty of favour from the bookmakers, and he stacks up well in terms of his driving stats as he is sixth for driving distance (314.5) and third for driving distance all drives (305.6).
However, Theegala, who as mentioned, is the defending champion will be looking to set his stall out early on.
A birdie fest could ensure but for the first of my Procore Championship 3-ball betting tips, I’m going with Theegala to take the honours.
Matt Kuchar to beat Lucas Glover & Stewart Cink
Teeing off 11 minutes after Theegala, Clark, and Homa, this group has more of a veteran feel about it, with Matt Kuchar, Lucas Glover, and Stewart Cink all aged 40 and above.
Kuchar is a dab hand on tracks like Silverado, and he will be hoping to improve on a seventh-placed finish last year, as he shot -13.
However, Kuchar arrives into the tournament in good form, with two top-15 finishes in his past two outings, and he is on track to secure his Tour card for another campaign.
Glover, a six-time PGA Tour winner, has endured three missed cuts on the trot, and after sitting out the FedEx Cup playoffs, he will have gone back to the drawing board to try and put things right.
Cink, meanwhile, has work to do to secure exempt status for 2025, and he could find things tough going this week. I’m a big fan of Kuchar and I think he could prevail in the opening round at the Procore Championship.
Min Woo Lee to beat Corey Conners & Mackenzie Hughes
Another one of the exciting featured groups this week, Min Woo Lee sometimes appears to fly under the radar.
However, the Australian should be feeling rather fresh after crashing out of the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, but he’s had some positive results over the year, including a T21 at the US Open and a T2 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Hughes, meanwhile, who was T16 at the Open, has proved to be fairly formidable with the putter this term ranking fourth for SG: Putting (0.665).
Conners, on the other hand, made it to the BMW Championship, and the fact he’s yet to miss a cut this term augurs well.
But if push comes to shove, I think Lee could edge it and prevail in the opening round.
