Scottish Cup Betting Odds - Old Firm Final Incoming
The 2024 Scottish Cup final will be an all-Glasgow affair as Celtic take on old rivals Rangers
After a thrilling weekend of semi-final action, weโre set for the first Old Firm Scottish Cup final in over 20 years as Celtic and Rangers booked their spots for next monthโs Hampden showdown.
With little to split the sides in the Scottish Premiership title race, the Scottish Cup final odds are also tight - the bookmakers have Celtic as narrow favourites to lift the trophy.
Latest Scottish Cup Betting Odds
- Celtic - 4/6
- Rangers - 23/20
Having lifted the Scottish Cup on 41 previous occasions, including last season, Celtic are the current favourites to defend their crown in 2024.
A win for Rangers would be the 35th time the Ibrox side has won the Scottish Cup, the last time being in 2022.
Recent Old Firm clashes have seen Celtic come out on top on six occasions, with Rangers managing just one success and three games ending in a draw, including the recent 3-3 stalemate at Ibrox.
Celtic do it the hard way
Celtic went into Saturdayโs semi-final against Aberdeen as solid favourites, but the Dons pushed them all the way, and after 120 minutes of frenetic action, the Hoops eventually progressed via penalties.
Having grabbed an early lead through Bojan Miovski, Aberdeen conceded twice and headed into injury time, seemingly on their way out, before Ester Soklerโs dramatic header in the 90th minute forced extra time.
Matt OโRiley restored Celticโs lead in extra time, but once again, the Dons hauled themselves back into contention, with Angus MacDonaldโs 119th-minute header taking the tie to penalties.
Ryan Duncan and Joe Hart both missed penalties, but Hart then made amends by saving Killian Phillipsโ penalty and booking Celticโs spot in their 60th Scottish Cup final.
Business as usual for Rangers over Hearts
After a turbulent week, Rangers booked their place in the Scottish Cup final on Sunday with a comfortable 2-0 win over Hearts.
Following a three-game winless run, the pressure was on the Rangers, and they got off to the perfect start when Cyriel Dessers scored just after five minutes.
Dessers sealed the game with his second goal after the break, ensuring that Heartsโ long wait to defeat the Rangers at the National Stadium will continue.
The Jambos have not beaten their Glasgow rivals in 17 attempts and have lost all five of their meetings against the Gers this season.
For the Rangers, having already won the Scottish League Cup and just three points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, Phillipe Clementโs side are still very much in the mix for a domestic treble.
