T20 World Cup Cricket Betting Tips: England v South Africa
England have arrived at this tournament, hammering the West Indies by eight wickets this morning to put themselves in a great position for the semi-finals. Can they continue their march in this latest T20 World Cup Betting Tips preview?

- England to win and the highest score in the match to be over 61.5 - 17/10 with bet365
- Anrich Nortje to take 2+ wickets - 6/4 with bet365
- Quinton de Kock to be South Africa’s top-scorer- 10/3 with betfair
- Phil Salt to be England’s top-scorer - 4/1 with betfair
- England to win, de Kock to score 24+ and Rashid to take over one wicket - 13/2 with William Hill
The title defence dream is burning brighter now than it has done at any other time over the last three weeks. England have, at times, been teetering on the brink of elimination. Now, they are favourites to qualify for the semi-finals after beating West Indies by eight wickets chasing 181 overnight.
Do I expect England to win the tournament? No is my suspicion. But I do think they will reach the semi-finals, and pretty comfortable - likely with three wins.
South Africa have been tested significantly in the last three games, beating Bangladesh by four runs, Nepal by one run and USA by 18, the latter in the opening game of the Super 8s. This England team will be a good few steps up in quality, and I don’t think the Proteas will be able to cope tomorrow afternoon.
Instead of going on the outright 8/11 on an England win, I prefer bet365′s bet builder of 17/10 on an England win and their highest individual score in the match to be over 61.5.

England v South Africa T20 World Cup Betting Tips
Stick with Quids in Quinny and side with Salty
At time of writing, South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje is the second leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 10. He wasn’t at his best in returning 1-37 in their win over USA, but I expect him to be better against England.
With that in mind, I would be interested in taking bet365′s 6/4 on him to take two wickets in the match.
Across the first two games of the Super 8s - South Africa’s win over the USA and England’s against the West Indies - we had success with Quinton de Kock scoring a fifty in the match and Phil Salt being England’s top scorer.
With that in mind, I see no reason to change.
My default setting with South Africa batting is to look at opener de Kock first. He’s great in tournaments, he’s full of confidence after hitting 74 against the US and is a good price. Betfair have boosted him to 10/3 to be South Africa’s top run-scorer in the match, a price I would be taking.
I expected Salt to have a good tournament and tipped him to be England’s top run-scorer across the event before a ball was bowled.
He was fantastic with an unbeaten 87 against the West Indies and is a juicy 4/1 with betfair to be England’s top run-scorer for the second game running. I would be taking that price every day of the week and twice on a Sunday!
And, finally, William Hill are offering a #YourOdds 13/2 shot on England to win, de Kock to score over 24 runs and for Adil Rashid to take over one wicket in the match.
Rashid is England’s joint leading wicket-taker in the tournament with six alongside Jofra Archer. He was the pick of the bowlers with 1-21 from four overs against West Indies on a pitch which seemed to suit spin more. This game is at the same venue.
