The Hundred Cricket Betting Tips: Southern Brave v Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire v Birmingham Phoenix
It’s another double header day for our Hundred betting tips preview, and it’s a big day if you’re a Trent Rockets fan. Both of their sides have finals chances but need a win

- Birmingham Phoenix W to win - 11/10 with bet365
- Birmingham Phoenix M to win - 21/20 with Betway
- Luke Wood to take 1.5+ wickets - 7/4 with bet365
- Danni Wyatt to top-score for Southern Brave W - 11/4 with betfair
- Birmingham Phoenix double, Southern Brave M to win - 11/2 with Betfred
This has the look of a really exciting day in the Hundred. The two men’s matches are eye-catching.
The first between the Brave and the Rockets sees the former looking likely to qualify for the finals and the latter in need of a win. The second is a clash between two teams currently outside of the top two alongside the Rockets but knowing full well that victory will reignite their chances ahead of the final week of group action.
In the women’s event, only Southern Brave are out of contention. Though they, to me, are far better than their one-win-in-six record suggests and could easily play the role of spoilers.
It’s for that reason I’m going to steer clear of picking a winner in that particular fixture, and the two singles I will give you are on a pair of Birmingham Phoenix victories.
I expect the women to beat a Fire side who are top of the table but in my view are over-performing. That’s a 2.30pm fixture and sees the Phoenix at 11/10 with bet365 amongst a host of other firms.
The Phoenix men have won two of their last three, including against Northern Superchargers by 10 wickets last time out. They are 21/20 with Betway to win a 6pm clash.

The Hundred Preview
First of all, in the afternoon men’s game, I can see Luke Wood having a good day for the Rockets. The England fringe left-arm quick is 7/4 with bet365 to take over 1.5 wickets in the match. He has taken two in his last three matches and bowls with the new ball and towards the end of an innings, heightening his chances of success.
Amidst all of the Brave’s troubles this year, Danni Wyatt is having a fine tournament for the defending champions. At time of writing, she is the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 225 from six innings.
It therefore surprises me that the buccaneering England opener is not the favourite to be Brave’s top run-scorer in the match. Indian Smriti Mandhana leads the way with the bookies.
But you can get Wyatt at 11/4 to top the shop for the Brave - a price available with betfair.
I will finish with a daily results treble, including the aforementioned pair of wins for the Phoenix. Add in a home victory for the Brave men against the Rockets and it’s a 5.54/1 treble, a price which is available with Betfred.
