Wales v Iceland Predictions and Free Bet Tips

There is still plenty to play for as Wales round off their Group B4 campaign at home to Iceland on Tuesday evening.

Wales will have been delighted to have left Turkey with a point over the weekend as Kerem Akturkoglu fluffed his lines from a penalty spot with a minute remaining of normal time.

Craig Bellamy was seen remonstrating with the fourth official after Neco Williams appeared to have got a deft touch on the ball after Yunus Akgun fell under the challenge.

Nevertheless, just two points separate Turkey and Wales with both harbouring promotion ambitions.

Iceland, meanwhile, will avoid relegation and they eased to a 2-0 win over Montenegro.

It promises to be a thrilling final round of fixtures, but who will hold their nerve?

I have sifted through the markets and made some Wales v Iceland predictions for you to chew over before kick-off.

Wales to make light work of Iceland

Keeping themselves in the frame is what it is all about for Wales going into their clash with Iceland in Cardiff.

A draw away to Turkey was a very respectable point, and they have a sense of cohesion under Bellamy’s tutelage.

They had to suffer for large periods against Turkey, who attempted 25 shots and had 28 more touches in the opposition box than Wales, but they held on.

Wales can’t rely on Turkey to do them any favours, and they know a win will give them a chance to secure promotion if Turkey do slip up.

This will represent just the fourth meeting between Wales and Iceland, and Wales have won two of the past three clashes.

The last time they met in Wales was back in March for a friendly in which Wales claimed a 3-1 win.

Rather than lean into the Correct Score line, I’m backing Wales to win & BTTS. Paddy Power has you covered with a tempting 16/5 price.

Wales on the comeback trail

When Wales found themselves on the canvas in the past, Gareth Bale was the man who could be called on to drag them back into contests.

A lot has changed then, but this game will require total focus, and nothing can be taken for granted.

This could be an open game, and Wales will need to be wary of Iceland trying to hit on the counter.

Iceland’s form has been rather mixed, picking up just one win from their past five matches on the international scene.

To support my first pick, I’m going with Wales to clinch a win, but to do so coming from behind. bet365 has dished up an enticing price of 9/1 for that outcome.
