England v Wales Tips, Predictions & Latest Odds

England will continue to fine-tune their World Cup preparations against Wales on Thursday night at Wembley Stadium.
Wales will have their eyes firmly on next week's World Cup qualifier against Belgium as the priority, but will not want to give an inch to England on Thursday night, with the hosts going into the game as comfortable favourites with sports betting sites.
Free Bets has taken a look at some of the best tips ahead of the Thursday night clash.
England v Wales Tips
Here are our three top football tips ahead of the game.
Tip 1: England to win, under 3.5 goals
It's always hard to read too much into friendly matches, especially at this stage of the season when squads are beset by injury withdrawals and managers are trying to manage the workloads of players.
However with it being a game between two rivals, you would expect Thomas Tuchel and Craig Bellamy to take it pretty seriously and claim bragging rights.
England under Tuchel have been a pretty hard team to get a read of.
They thrashed Serbia in their last game but had been very underwhelming before that, scoring just nine goals in the preceding nine matches - one of which was the 3-1 defeat to Senegal.
One thing of note though is that they are built on solid foundations, and have conceded just one goal aside from that Senegal disasterclass, and I think this game will follow a similar trend with England winning but not really making their dominance tell on the scoreline.
Tip 2: England to win both halves, and win to nil
If there has been one word to describe England under Tuchel, it is efficient and functional.
They don't exactly set the pulse racing and are missing a number of high-profile players, but they get the job done and generally dominate games.
Their biggest strength is the quality and depth of squad available to Tuchel, which means he can bring quality players off the bench one after another, whereas Wales don't quite have that luxury.
In four of Tuchel's six matches in charge, they have scored in both halves and won to nil. That follows the template of score early to establish dominance, and then finish it off in the second half and that's exactly how I see this game going too.
Tip 3: HT/FT: England/England, Watkins to score, Ampadu booking
The reports are that Harry Kane is unlikely to be risked as he manages a long-term ankle injury that has been causing him problems, and that offers a golden opportunity up front.
You would suspect that Ollie Watkins will be the beneficiary of the injury, even if he hasn't been in scintillating form for Aston Villa this season.
But his high-energy approach should suit Tuchel and England should create enough chances for him to finish, and he needs a performance if he is to establish himself as second choice ahead of the World Cup.
As previously mentioned, I fancy England to win both halves but don't expect Wales to go down without a fight.
Ethan Ampadu has shown for Leeds this season that he is happy to stick the boot in and likes a tackle, so I fancy him to make his presence known to the English midfield by leaving one on his opposite number.
