Atalanta v Celtic Match Preview
After an encouraging start to their Champions League campaign with a win over Slovan Bratislava, things took a turn for the ugly last time out.
The trip to Dortmund was never going to be an easy one but the manner in which they folded in a 7-1 hammering to Borussia Dortmund raised many familiar questions over their approach to European football and to Brendan Rodgers' record on the continent.
So what to expect from this game is anyone's guess, but given that Atalanta have started the season pretty well and won the Europa League last season, so they undoubtedly have more recent European pedigree than the Scottish champions.
Given that Celtic were held to a 2-2 draw by Aberdeen at the weekend, I think it's fair not to expect too much from them in this game and that's born out in my predictions for the game.
One thing to their advantage is that Celtic have scored in every game so far this season. While that might not mean much when they get hammered 7-1, it does mean they pose a threat in front of goal so an Atalanta win and BTTS at 13/8 looks a good place to start with bet365.
I think Atalanta should win this fairly comfortably, even if it won't be as convincing as Dortmund's win.
They've claimed a point against Arsenal and battered Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 already this season, and I think could be dark horses to go quite far in this year's tournament.
So looking at the handicap market, an Atalanta -2 win has odds of 23/2 with Unibet which I'm pretty surprised about so I'd jump on that if you're looking for value.
