Both Barnsley and Rotherham had ambitions of promotion at the start of the season. While Barnsley are in 8th, one point off the playoffs, Rotherham are down in 14th, six points off.
For Barnsley, things could have been so much better. They've won just two of their last 17 home games, when you think they're one point off the playoffs this season, and made the playoffs last season, it's an incredible stat.
It shows how good they are away from home, but this game is at Oakwell, and with the quality in League One this season, it won't be enough if things stay the same.
Rotherham have looked like a team going under much change, and it's no surprise. Relegation, a huge overhaul of the squad, and a new manager, with a completely different style to before, even though Steve Evans has had success here before, it'll take time for that to come again.
The Millers have been poor on the road for some time though, just one win this season, at the start of October against Cambridge. They went through all of last season without a competitive away win too, it's a problem that seems tough to fix.
With that in mind, and the improvements we've seen from Barnsley, even though they've been on the road, I'll take a home win for Barnsley at 11/10 with Betfred as my first bet in the game.
Next up, I'll dive into the correct score market for some big value. Barnsley's defensive issues continue to shine, so I think they'll concede and with that in mind, I can't leave alone the price on a 3-1 Barnsley win, which is a huge 16/1 with William Hill.
