Hobart Hurricanes v Sydney Thunder Cricket Betting Tips

Hobart Hurricanes v Sydney Thunder Preview
Cricket Australia lifted their lifetime leadership ban on David Warner back in October after the controversial opener was involved in the Sandpaper scandal in 2018.
He immediately took on the Sydney Thunder captaincy, and now he stands one game from glory. It’s quite the story, isn’t it.
Group stage leaders Hobart Hurricanes - the hosts of this final - stand in his and Thunder’s way.
And I like the Thunder’s chances having put in two very polished performances on Wednesday and Friday to beat Melbourne Stars and Sydney Sixers to seal their qualification.
I’m by no means ruling the Hurricanes out of this, but I have a strong feeling for Thunder, who have Englishmen Sam Billings and George Garton in their ranks. There are three English players involved in this final, with Chris Jordan lining up for the Hurricanes.
10Bet have the Thunder at 13/10 to win this one, a price I think offers significant value.
Super Sam to leave Hurricanes Thunderstruck
This fixture has a weather-related theme to it with the Hurricanes facing the Thunder. Let’s just hope neither of those issues actually hit Hobart and spoil what promises to be a cracking contest.
Anyway, enough of being Michael Fish!
I like Betway’s 21/20 on Thunder wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings to score 25 runs or more in the final, which he did with 42 not out earlier this week against the Sydney Sixers. He also hit 28 last time they faced the Hurricanes.
Billings has been named in the BBL team of the tournament, and I’ll come back to him in a second.
Another bet which I will repeat from earlier in the week…Hobart fast bowler Riley Meredith to take two or more wickets in the match. We suggested that for the Qualifier clash with Sydney Sixers, and it came in.
He’s been excellent this competition, taking 13 wickets in nine matches, including a pair of two-fors and a three-for in his last four outings.
He is 5/4 with bet365 to take over 1.5 wickets in this match, a price I would be taking.
I will be finishing this T20 betting tips preview with a pair of OddsBoost selections with Betfair.
The first is their 11/4 shot on Thunder to win and both sides to score totals of 160 or more. There’s more than enough batting talent on show at a venue where runs are regular to give this bet a great chance of landing.
And the final bet for this preview is a patriotic 10/1 shot on Billings to hit a six, for Hurricanes seamer Chris Jordan to take a wicket and for both Englishmen to take a catch.
