Black Desert Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips & Betting Offers

The PGA Tour has a sparkling new tournament to look forward to this week with the introduction of the Black Desert Championship.
Back in Utah for the first time in 60 years, the Black Desert Resort will provide a dramatic setting.
After an exciting conclusion to the Sanderson Farms Championship last weekend where Kevin Yu prevailed in a playoff, the Black Desert course has some nice touches.
Designed by Tom Weiskopf, one of the holes pays homage to the “Postage Stamp” par-three eighth at Royal Troon where Weiskopf won The Open in 1973.
To the here and now, and I’m looking forward to seeing how things unravel over the next few days.
I have delivered some 3-ball betting tips for this tournament, analysing some of the groups you should pay attention to in the first round on Thursday, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
Black Desert Championship 3-Ball Betting Tips
Beau Hossler to beat Ben Kohles & Mac Meissner
It was heartbreak for Beau Hossler last weekend as he was pipped in the playoff by Yu at the Sanderson Farms Championship, but there were some positives to take.
Indeed, Hossler opened with rounds of 65 and 64 and closed with 68 and 68 to post an overall score of 265, recording his best four-round aggregate on the Tour.
It was his fourth runner-up finish on his 200th Tour start, and he was 12th in strokes. He also snaffled 26 birdies, so he will be targeting a quick start again.
Ben Kohles, meanwhile, was 16th at the Sanderson Farms Championship, and has had two top-10 finishes this term, while Mac Meissner has been on a similar trajectory to Kohles. Moreover, he’s proved to be very reliable with approaches from the 200-yard mark.
Anyway, I fancy Hossler to lift himself off the canvas. To open my 3-ball betting tips, I’m going with him to take the spoils in Round 1.
Stephan Jaeger to beat Harry Hall & Kurt Kityama
While it would be a stretch to call this a breakout year for Stephan Jaeger given he’s 35, the German picked up his first Tour win earlier in 2024 and he’s got three top-10 finishes to his name.
In his last five appearances, he’s averaged a finish of 32nd. Off the tee, Jaeger has been impressive, averaging 311.2 yards in his past five Tour appearances, and that will augur well for this week.
Harry Hall is almost an unknown quantity, having only made 60 career appearances on the PGA Tour, while Kurt Kityama has missed just four cuts this season.
Jaeger has been getting some backing this week, and I fancy him to finish above Hall and Kityama in the first round.
Patrick Fishburn to beat Zac Blair & Mark Hubbard
This is an eye-catching group, namely because Patrick Fishburn and Zac Blair have Utah ties.
Previously teaming up to tie for fourth at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, they will be on opposite sides this time.
Interestingly, they boast almost identical records in terms of results, although Blair has made three more appearances, but missed one fewer cut.
Mark Hubbard, meanwhile, was well adrift at the Sanderson Farms Championship, coming home in T63, so I don’t see much value in him.
If push comes to shove, I think Fishburn could well prevail in this group on the opening day.
