Brighton v Tottenham Match Preview
I'm looking forward to this one, even if the table suggests it's a meeting of two mid-table side (yes I know it's a bit early in the season to read into that).
Brighton are understandably finding their groove after the departure of Roberto De Zerbi and arrival of 31-year-old Fabian Hurzeler, while Spurs were under quite a bit of pressure following defeat in the North London Derby but have responded well.
There is a lot to like about both sides, and Brighton have been one of the more fun sides to follow so far this season.
In their last three games alone there have been five goals, four goals and then six goals against Wolves, Nottingham Forest and then Chelsea respectively, with the Seagulls scoring at least two in each of them.
Spurs on the other hand have scored 13 in the last five games, so it should be a good contest between two sides who play front-foot football.
It does make it a hard one to call though.
I think Spurs just about merit their status as favourites heading into it, but I don't make it anywhere near as clearcut as the bookies do so there should be decent value to be had out there.
To start us off, I'm backing the stats and going for both teams to score, over 3.5 goals and Spurs/Draw as the double chance, and that bet builder brings us 14/5 with Unibet and that looks pretty decent to start off with as our banker.
Next up I want to look at goalscorers as I'm expecting a few, and both teams have a few threats.
Timo Werner keeps finding himself in dangerous positions and you feel like he will convert a couple of chances soon, but Brennan Johnson has scored in five games running and before that, Dom Solanke had netted in three on the bounce.
He should keep getting loads of chances at Spurs so let's look at both of them to score again and Guglielmo Vicario to make over 3.5 saves in the game as he is kept busy by the Brighton forwards, that is 19/2 again with Unibet.
