Broncos v Ravens Under 46.5 Points
Thanks to a favourable schedule, the Broncos have won five of their last six games, conceding just 84 points in that span.
The Broncos now sit third in the league for scoring defence, allowing only 15.0 points per game. They rank fifth in passing yards allowed (176.3 per game) and seventh in rushing yards allowed (106.4).
While the Broncos haven’t yet faced an offence quite like Baltimore’s, they should have enough weapons to slow the Ravens down. The Ravens are second in scoring offence, averaging 30.3 points per game. Baltimore also leads the league with an impressive 200.0 rushing yards per game.
On the other side, the Ravens allow 26.1 points per game (26th), though they’ve had a challenging schedule. Interestingly, Baltimore gives up the fewest rushing yards (69.9) but the most passing yards (291.4) in the NFL.
The Broncos are likely to struggle on the ground, and Bo Nix will face significant pressure, as the Ravens are second in quarterback hits (61) and fourth in sacks (24). Denver will need to bring its best defense in order to upset the odds.
Courtland Sutton Over 51.5 Receiving Yards
After a quiet performance in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, where he didn’t see a single target over 56 snaps, Courtland Sutton bounced back in Denver’s 28-14 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 8.
Sutton dominated the Panthers’ secondary, catching eight of his 11 targets for 100 yards. He’s surpassed 50 receiving yards in four of his last six games and looks set for another strong performance in Week 9.
As mentioned earlier, running effectively against Baltimore is tough, but the Ravens still give up a lot of passing yards despite their strong pass rush.
Baltimore’s secondary has shown weaknesses. Last week, in a 29-24 loss to Cleveland, the Ravens allowed four Browns receivers to surpass 60 yards. Two weeks ago, Tampa Bay also had four players with at least 54 receiving yards.
Sutton is arguably the top wideout in the Broncos' receiving corps and will need to lead by example in this challenging road game against the Ravens.
