Championship Acca of the Week
It's three in a row now for our Championship acca tips and we're not playing it safe this time, stretching it out to a 25/1 shot for the Boxing Day fixtures thanks to a tricky fixture list.
Stoke v Leeds - BTTS
This is a tricky one to call, because Leeds United on the road have been quite unpredictable - but yet predictable at the same time.
I say that because despite their standing as clearly one of the strongest sides in the Championship, they have struggled on the road of late with a draw at Preston and losses to Millwall and Blackburn - both 1-0 reverses.
Stoke aren't quite as strong as those sides - otherwise I'd have backed a home win - but I do seen both sides scoring. I wouldn't be surprised to see a scoring draw in this one.
Swansea v QPR - BTTS
Swansea have had a curious season, having started very slowly in terms of points but also scoring goals, before picking up a couple of results before falling away again.
QPR on the other hand are flying, having climbed out of the relegation zone with four wins and three draws in their last seven matches to put them firmly in midtable.
One particular thing to keep an eye on in this game is Swansea's poor home form, which I think could just give QPR an edge going into this game but should make for a pretty even encounter.
Swansea will go into it as favourites, but don't be at all surprised to see QPR give as good as they get which should mean both sides get on the scoresheet.
Watford v Portsmouth - Watford to win
The win over Coventry was a big one for Portsmouth last weekend, but I'm not reading too much into that and would expect this game to go to form.
Watford have been one of the real surprise packages this season and the challenge will be on Tom Cleverley to maintain that going into the second half of the season, but I think they have a great chance of pushing those play-offs.
Home form is one area in particular where they thrive, with eight wins, two draws and no defeats in their 10 games this season, so they should be confident in recording a win.
If you really want to push the boat out, consider a Watford win to nil.
Sheffield United v Burnley - Sheffield United to win to nil
This is the contentious call in this week's tips, with two of the top three coming up against each other and in Burnley, the second best away team in the league.
Add into that that Sheffield United have conceded just two home goals and haven't lost at Brammall Lane this season, and you can see the strengths of the two sides.
I expect Burnley to show up and play for a point, but for the Blades it represents a golden opportunity to put some space between themselves and the rest.
But conceding just two goals at home is a remarkable feat, and I think they'll record a very narrow win on Thursday.
