Everton v Manchester United Predictions and Free Bet Tips
Here are our Everton v Manchester United predictions, odds and free bet tips from our range of football betting sites ahead of the game.
Everton v Manchester United Match Preview
Everton will aim to kick on when they welcome Manchester United to Goodison Park for a Premier League lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.
The return of David Moyes has so far proved to be inspiring. Rather than looking nervously over their shoulders, they have renewed belief and they are making good progress.
This is a far cry from Manchester United who appear to lurch from one disaster to the next under Ruben Amorim’s tutelage.
Then again, rebuilding United was always going to be a long-term project and something that wasn’t going to be fixed overnight.
Well, that was evident against Tottenham last weekend where they slipped to a 1-0 defeat, and the threadbare nature of the squad was revealed with the raft of teenagers taking their seats on the bench.
There is always something intriguing about Everton vs Manchester United, and it will be the last time this fixture will be staged at Goodison Park, as the Toffees will move into a sparkling new stadium in time for the start of the 2025/26 season.
I’m on hand to deliver Everton v Manchester United predictions along with a couple of betting tips.
David Moyes to get one over his former employers
Moyes is an experienced Premier League manager, and that is encompassed by the fact he’s taken charge of 703 games during a storied career.
At Manchester United, it proved to be an ill-fated stint where he was sacked after just 10 months in charge, having tried to fill the enormous boots of his predecessor Sir Alex Ferguson.
To the here and now, and Everton have been on an excellent run, garnering 13 points from a maximum of 15 in their past five league games.
They have even jumped above Manchester United into 14th spot, and they appear to be rejuvenated.
United may have won on their previous two away visits to Goodison Park, but they have tasted defeat 12 times in 25 league fixtures this term, representing their worst return at this stage of a campaign since 1973/74 (13) when they were relegated from the top-flight.
I’ve got a predilection that Moyes could exact revenge, and I’m going with Everton to clinch victory. A 29/20 price can be unlocked at Paddy Power for that outcome which doesn’t seem too shabby.
Manchester United to see red mist descend
Given Manchester United’s malaise, it seems Amorim has his work cut out.
A cursory glance at the red card list, and United have had two players dismissed this term.
To be more precise, Bruno Fernandes has been sent off twice in the league, and his red card in the Europa League means he has taken an early shower on three occasions.
Fernandes is sometimes accused of being petulant and throwing his toys out of the pram, and I don’t see United finishing the game against Everton with 11 men on the pitch.
I’m drawn to the red card special and United to have a man sent off which has been priced up at an inviting 11/1 with William Hill.
