Gab Sutton's EFL Winners & Losers - August 16-17

It was a busy weekend for football punters and betting sites, with the Championship, League One and League Two delivering a full round of fixtures.
And Free Bets EFL pundit Gab Sutton breaks down his winners and losers from the weekend.
Winners
Coventry
Coventry have swung from one extreme to the other in the first two weeks, drawing a blank against Hull on the opening day, before hitting five past Derby this weekend.
The attacking trio of Brandon Thomas-Asante, Haji Wright and Ephron Mason-Clark rotated and interchanged seamlessly for the Sky Blues, ably supported by the energetic Jack Rudoni in attacking midfield.
Meanwhile, Victor Torp pulled the strings in midfield with exquisite technical quality, in a performance that highlighted the promotion credentials of Frank Lampardโs side.
Next Game
Stevenage
Stevenage went top of League One with a 2-0 victory over Northampton, which makes them the only side in the division with maximum points.
It was a tough first half for the Boro, but Alex Revellโs side were outstanding after the interval, with commanding centre-back Charlie Goode a rock throughout.
The Hertfordshire outfit have always been a good defensive side, in the last three years, but this season they seem to have added some attacking layers to that base, while striker Gassan Ahadme scored on debut.
Next Game
Crewe
Crewe thoroughly deserved their 1-0 victory over Crawley on Saturday, and could have grabbed more goals with a bit more ruthlessness in the final third.
The Alex employed an aggressive out-of-possession game, with Owen Lunt supporting Josh March superbly in the press, while Tommi OโReilly enjoyed an outstanding afternoon.
The Aston Villa loanee showed neat feet in tight areas and a creative eye; he also took his first half goal impeccably, and produced two rasping second half efforts that hit the bar.
With Max Sanders running the show in midfield, this was a top performance from Lee Bellโs side, who have begun a season with three wins on the spin for the first time since 1994.

Losers
Leicester
Some of the cultural issues that contributed to Leicesterโs plummet to relegation from the Premier League persist, on the evidence of Saturdayโs 2-1 loss at PNE.
Itโs hardly surprising, after a summer dominated by off-field question marks, in which the only signing made was the back-up goalkeeper, Asmir Begovic.
Jeremy Monga was the bright spot from the bench, showing pace, skill and flair before equalising with a sharp finish, but the level of application has come in for criticism from ex-player Paul Gallagher, who accused them of arrogance and laziness.
Next Game
Plymouth Argyle
Plymouth Argyle fans are disappointed with how the club navigated their two years in the Championship, but somewhat understanding of the challenges they faced at that level.
In League One, the Green Army may be less forgiving, expecting to see their team compete towards the top of the table.
Right now, the squad is around six players short of where it needs to be, and it looks as though the club has suffered another poor transfer window in which key players have left and not been satisfactorily replaced.
After a 3-2 loss at Lincoln, Argyle have begun with three straight defeats, and have major issues at the back.
Next Game
Crawley
Crawley lost 1-0 at Crewe on week three, meaning Scott Lindseyโs side remain yet to take a point this season.
The Red Devils looked disorganised, struggling to get their passing game going early on in the face of their opposition press, eventually succumbing to a more direct approach.
They continued to look vulnerable, however, and didnโt fashion chances until Kaheim Dixon, on loan from Charlton, came on in the second half.
Dixonโs impact from the bench was a positive for Lindsey, but Crawley need to shape up if theyโre to beat the drop.
