Championship Acca of the Week
After a run of winners it was a difficult day on Sunday with a number of upsets but with a couple of nicer fixtures to go at I think we have a good shout at a 20/1 shot on Wednesday.
Leeds v Blackburn - Leeds win to nil
We're back to a bit of a staple for this column, but Leeds have been winning to nil for fun at home this season and I see no reason for that to end.
Blackburn are a good side but they don't score loads of goals, and the way Leeds are playing at the moment they should have enough to put one or two past them.
If I was going to push the boat out I would go for a 2-0 home win, but let's stick to another clean sheet and three more points for the league leaders.
Sheffield Wednesday v Derby - Sheffield Wednesday to win
Sheffield Wednesday are up there with the most entertaining sides in the league at the moment with 14 goals across their last four matches - including goals conceded.
I would have a home game against Derby down as one they should be comfortably winning and think they have enough about them to get the job done, though the Rams aren't to be taken lightly.
Both teams to score would be an equally good shout for this game, but I do see the Owls edging it.
Sunderland v Sheffield United - BTTS
The tie of the round for me, and I'll be keeping a close eye on it with a particular interest in how Sheffield United cope after their most difficult week of the season.
While a point against West Brom was probably a fair result on Sunday, I thought the Baggies were the better side and with one point taken from two games, things don't get much easier for Chris Wilder's side with Sunderland up next.
The Black Cats have really enjoyed their home comforts this season which is why it's such an interesting game. Part of me can see it being a low-scorer, but I back Sunderland to score and think the Blades will be desperate to avoid another defeat.
Score draw anyone?
Burnley v Stoke - Burnley to win to nil
If Sheffield United's Christmas form was a surprise, Burnley's was anything but.
Yes the win at Brammall Lane was probably a bit of a turn up, but two clean sheets and two goals scored in two matches is about as on brand for this Burnley side as it is possible to get.
They're not exactly the league's entertainers, and have conceded just four goals at home this season while scoring 15.
Stoke are in a bad way at the moment and are getting dragged into the relegation scrap, so it's a pretty easy one to call this. I reckon a Burnley win, but probably only by a goal or two.
