Leeds Championship Promotion Odds Shorten after Norwich Win

Leeds have been made favourites for promotion from the Championship play-offs after a stunning performance in the 4-0 semi-final win over Norwich.
Daniel Farke’s side were back to their brilliant best in demolishing the Canaries at Elland Road, a result which saw the end of David Wagner’s reign at Norwich but means Leeds are now back to the top of the bookies odds having slipped to second favourites following their poor end to the season.
The Peacocks are now odds on to win at Wembley ahead of Southampton and West Brom, who will meet on Friday night to determine their fate in this season’s play-offs.
Leeds’ poor form - they had won just four of their last eight matches in the league before the first leg - meant they were short on confidence heading into the game, but a fine attacking performance means they will head to Wembley in good spirits and confident of sealing an immediate return to the top flight.
Ilia Gruev, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville were all on target for the Whites in the 4-0 demolition job in front of a raucous home crowd.

Leeds Play-Off Chances
The only thing standing between Leeds and promotion now is their history at Wembley, and the identity of the opposition they will meet there on Sunday 26 May.
Southampton are expected to beat West Brom having finished higher up the table and with a home leg to come, with the two sides level at 0-0 as Leeds and Norwich had been after the first leg.
If it is Russell Martin’s side that Leeds face, there is a fair argument to suggest that they would head into that showdown as favourite considering their record against Leeds this season. They have appeared to have Leeds’ number and beat them twice this year including on the final day of the season, only finishing three points behind them in the league.
However Leeds will take a huge amount of confidence from the win over Norwich. The strength of their squad - and the attack in particular - is such that no team can match them on their day, as proven with a 100% record over both Leicester and Ipswich.
With Rutter, Summerville and Piroe all finding the back of the net against Norwich, they have key players finding form just at the right time and if they play at their best at Wembley, they will surely have too much for Saints.
