Their 6-3 league win in N17 is already registered as something bordering on a cricket score and with the dust now settled, the fact that Liverpool could genuinely have scored 10 that afternoon should not be understated.
Arne Slot’s men at their brilliant best when league points where on offer, now they need to do the same when it comes to League Cup progress. This tie is firmly in the balance and both sides will need a rather firm defence if they are to book their place in this season’s final.
