Middlesbrough v Sunderland Match Preview
Things can only get better than last Monday's top-of-the-table Championship clash between Leeds and Burnley, with Middlesbrough and Sunderland meeting in another big game this week.
I do expect it to be a more open game though, mainly because both teams have something to chase - the top three in Sunderland's case and a play-off spot for Boro.
They are also sides who like to play front-foot football, so it should be a fun game and there will be plenty of eyes on new arrival Morgan Whittaker for Boro after the manner of his departure from Plymouth.
Boro have fallen away slightly of late and their inconsistency is the one real obstacle in their quest for a top six finish, but there is plenty to like about them while Sunderland just refuse to go away and having got into this position, will be desperate to give automatic promotion a real crack.
I caught up with Clinton Morrison this week to preview the game.

Q: The next game to mention was Middlesbrough against Sunderland on Monday, which hopefully be better than last Monday's game!
Oh my gosh well that was ridiculous last Monday. But yeah, let's move on! Yeah, it should be a pretty decent game.
It will be a good game. I think Sunderland are in good form at the minute. I know they haven't won for a few games, but they've still got good attacking players and they brought in new players that are going to improve the team and that's what Middlesbrough have done too.
They're doing well. I think Michael Carrick is a brilliant manager. They are a bit inconsistent at the moment and I think he'll be disappointed, but he's obviously bringing in a player like Whittaker and paying £8 million, it's a lot of money in the Championship.
He has to hit the ground running, but we've seen him many times he can score goals in a team that was struggling in Plymouth. So if you're getting to a better team, hopefully we can see a bit more from him
It is a good signing. It's quite a statement of intent, isn't it, to go and spend quite a bit of cash on Whittaker and I think they've got a couple of other players in on loan. So they're properly pushing for that top six to try and be there at the end of the season.
I think Carrick is probably thinking this is the final push from now to the end of the season and this is the best opportunity you will get. I do think Middlesbrough will get into the play-offs and the signings they have made could tip them over.
