Next Bristol Rovers Manager Odds: Who Will Take Over at League Two Club?

The end of the season has arrived, and after final games were played in the EFL yesterday, it was always expected that we would see some managerial news afterwards.
One of the leaders to do this, Bristol Rovers, who have announced that they have parted ways with Inigo Calderon.
Relegated from League One, this was always likely to happen over the summer, and it's no surprise that they've pushed the button early on this.
If Rovers can keep a good number of players together, get the right man in, and make a couple of good additions, they'll be amongst the favourites with UK betting sites to win League Two next season. The next step feels like a very important one.
Next Bristol Rovers Manager Odds
Here at Free Bets, we've now managed to track down some odds for this, with a familiar name at the top of the market.
The latest football betting odds has Darrell Clarke as favourite to take the Bristol Rovers job. Out of work since being sacked by Barnsley a couple of months ago, he knows the club inside out, and has had success with Rovers before.
Manager | Latest Bristol Rovers Odds |
Darrell Clarke | 4/9 |
Michael Duff | 15/8 |
Jon Brady | 8/1 |
Ian Evatt | 8/1 |
Rest | 16/1+ |

I am sure Clarke would be of interest to Rovers, he's a man that has a track record of doing very well and has promotions out of League Two on his CV.
His time at Barnsley wasn't really a fair look at his abilities, with the high expectations at Barnsley playing a big part in him being sacked from that club.
It's another former Barnsley man in as the second favourite, Michael Duff, who was sacked from Huddersfield a couple of months ago, after failing to get them back promoted to the Championship at the first time of asking.
Since his success with Barnsley, Duff hasn't had much luck in football. He took Barnsley to the playoff final at Wembley, and lost after that, decided to move to Swansea to be closer to home and take a step up.
While the Swansea move didn't work, just like them, Rovers are much closer to Duff's home.
There's a running theme with all four of the main candidates in the betting market, being sacked from League One clubs this year.
Next up, Jon Brady, sacked from Northampton, and the other candidate at single figure odds if Ian Evatt, sacked from Bolton earlier in the season.
The top two in the market have more appeal than the latter, for me at least anyway, and while Clarke has the connection already with this club, at a time they need to bring everyone together, I do think Duff has a better style, and a more recent League Two promotion on his CV, with Cheltenham.
What Next for Bristol Rovers?
A promotion back up to League One will be the aim for Rovers, but that's all going to depend on what happens over the summer, in particular the next month.
All eyes on who they appoint here, plus the retained list that will be released soon, and will give us an idea of the squad they will have next season.
League Two is not easy to get out of, ask the likes of Bradford, finally promoted after years of trying this weekend, and there's plenty more that can tell the same story.
But Rovers do have quality, should have the pulling power to get a good manager in, and should be able to run with one of the bigger budgets in this league.
