With no more international breaks until March, the focus is now firmly on club football and for the 24 second tier teams that are dreaming of reaching the promised land of the Premier League, they must also aim to avoid the nightmare which is demotion to League One.

Then again, you could say the same about the playoff places, maybe even the automatic berths themselves and whereas Sunderland looked to be leading proceedings at a canter, they have now stumbled in the past few weeks.
That stumble has bunched together the top six teams, and it is this half dozen group that Watford find themselves in. Tom Cleverly’s men currently possess the final play-off invite but they will fancy their chances of an upgrade at the end of the season.
Especially if they can continue to erode the gap between themselves and Sunderland at the top. Whereas the Black Cats have picked up three successive draws, the Hornets have won two out of their last three.
Wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford bookend defeat against Swansea and with the Vicarage Road outfit only drawing one of their first 15 games of the season, the only thing they are missing is an element of pragmatism from time to time.
But now it is time for the first of my two tips, and I think this is where pragmatism comes into play for Watford. They have lost six of their first eight away games of the season and they may have to settle for a draw on Friday – something that I will settle for at odds of 11/4 with Bet Goodwin.
In addition to this, I am going to opt for under seven corners at odds of 9/1 with bet365. Plymouth average just 3.00 per league game, Watford 5.20 and with those numbers at play, I think the total corner count sits at a maximum of six.
