Amidst the Jimmy Anderson farewell, that England performed very well in that first Test kind of got forgotten. They weren’t perfect, but they were more than good enough to brush aside a poor West Indies team who have a lot of improving to do.
England were pretty much perfect with the ball, but not quite so with the bat. From 123-1 in the first-innings reply to 121, they should have got more than 371.
That’s where they’ll look to get better in Nottingham.

He has done that in nine of his 11 Test appearances so far, including with four at Lord’s. He also started the season well at Sussex in the County Championship.

Gus Atkinson claimed seven in the first innings at Lord’s, while Seales - as aforementioned - went close with his four. I think that price represents decent value. Historically, a bowler has achieved that feat in the last seven Tests at Trent Bridge, dating back to 2013.
