George Pickens Anytime TD Scorer
After going without a touchdown in Pittsburgh’s first six games this season, George Pickens has reached the end zone in two of the last three. In Week 7, Pickens recorded five receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown, and last week he caught five passes for 91 yards and another score.
Pickens leads the Steelers’ receiving corps in targets (65), receptions (40), and receiving yards (639). He’s set for another standout performance, as the Ravens’ secondary ranks among the worst in the league.
Baltimore has conceded 29 offensive touchdowns this season, with an alarming 22 coming through the air. Furthermore, 16 of those 22 touchdowns have been caught by wide receivers. Therefore, we’re starting our Steelers vs Ravens tips by backing George Pickens to score a touchdown.
George Pickens Over 70.5 Rushing Yards
As noted, the Ravens’ pass defence has been poor this season, allowing the most passing yards per game in the NFL (294.9). While Baltimore concedes the fewest rushing yards in the league (73.0 per game), the Steelers will need to rely on Russell Wilson’s passing ability.
At the trade deadline, the Steelers acquired veteran wide receiver Mike Williams, a classic deep threat. In his debut last week, Williams caught one pass for 32 yards and a touchdown. His presence is likely to create more opportunities for George Pickens to excel, so we’re backing Pickens again.
Pickens has exceeded the 70-yard mark in three consecutive games. Given the favourable matchup against the Ravens’ secondary, it would be a surprise if he doesn’t do so again.
Russell Wilson Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Russell Wilson made his season debut in Week 7, throwing for 264 yards and two touchdowns in a commanding 37-15 victory over the New York Jets. The following week, he threw for 278 yards and a touchdown in a 26-18 win against the New York Giants.
After a bye in Week 9, Wilson delivered 195 passing yards, three touchdowns, and an interception in a narrow 28-27 victory over the Washington Commanders last Sunday. The nine-time Pro Bowler will aim to build on this momentum, and the Steelers will need him at his best this Sunday.
Running efficiently against Baltimore is a tough task. The Ravens allow just 3.4 yards per carry and have recorded 31 sacks and 79 quarterback hits in 2024. Wilson and the Steelers’ offensive line will face significant pressure.
However, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin knows the importance of establishing the run game to ease the load on Wilson. To overcome the Ravens, Pittsburgh’s quarterback will likely need to throw for a couple of touchdowns.
