T20 World Cup Cricket Betting Tips: USA vs South Africa
US aim to spring yet another T20 World Cup surprise

- Marco Jansen to take 2+ wickets - Evens with Betway
- Quinton de Kock to score a fifty - 7/2 with Ladbrokes
- Jansen to be top South African bowler - 4/1 with Betfair
- Aaron Jones to be top US run-scorer - 4/1 with BetUK
- de Kock to be top South African run-scorer & Netravalkar to be top US bowler - 19/2 with William Hill
Will South Africa fall the same way as Pakistan did? Coach Stuart Law and his Americans are going after a trio of bigs guns, including England, during the World Cup’s second stage.
The Proteas are first in the firing line in the opening game of the Super 8s. But I’m sure they will survive this test and win their fifth straight match.
They sailed through the initial group stage with wins over Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal.
Even though I do fully expect they’ll win, I won’t be taking them on at 1/5.
Here are our top cricket betting tips for Wednesday’s match, plus the best betting offers from the top online bookmakers.
USA vs South Africa T20 World Cup Betting Tips
Quids in Quinny and Magic Marco
Marco Jansen, South Africa’s towering left-arm pacer, has taken only two wickets in four matches so far but has not conceded more than 20 runs in a quartet of four-over spells. Though three of his matches were played on the New York minefield, he has bowled well and has, for me, deserved more reward.
That reward, I can see it coming in this T20 World Cup betting tips preview.
First of all, Betway are offering Evens on him taking two wickets in this fixture. With new ball in hand and more pace in the pitch in Antigua, I can see him causing the US top order problems.
Quinton de Kock, usually very good in tournaments, has been quiet so far with scores of 0, 18 and 10 to his name.
He’s due to a score, and I’d be keen to side with the dashing South African opener to score a fifty in this fixture at a boosted 7/2 with Ladbrokes.
Returning to Jansen, I also think there’s decent value in the 4/1 for him to be South Africa’s top bowler in the match. That’s available with Betfair amongst other firms.
Keeping up with the Joneses in our T20 World Cup betting tips preview
Finally, also at 4/1 with BetUK, I like the price on USA batter Aaron Jones to be their top batter in the match.
Jones is their leading run-scorer in the tournament with 141 to his name. At time of writing, he was the fourth leading run-scorer across all teams in this event, including a best of 94 not out against Canada in the opening match.
Now, he’s powerful and bats at four, which could be important. As I’ve said, I expect new ball quick Jansen to shine for South Africa. So a couple of early wickets will get rid of a couple of main rivals for this market and give Jones plenty of time at the crease to shine.
And let’s finish with William Hill’s 19/2 on de Kock to be South Africa’s top run-scorer and USA seamer Saurabh Netravalkar - he is their leading wicket-taker with four so far - to be their top wicket-taker in the match. That’s worth a couple of quid.
Incidentally, Netravalkar is an engineer at computer technology company Oracle.
