Manchester City vs Everton Predictions, Tips & Latest Odds

Manchester City resume Premier League duties after the international break with the visit of Everton on Saturday afternoon.
Clashes have often been feisty in the past, but laden with drama, and I’ve handpicked a few juicy tips for you to gorge on ahead of kick-off.
Here's a look at the latest odds from UK betting sites, plus three tips for the game.
Tip 1: Man City to win by 2 goals - 16/5
While City haven’t quite hit full flow this season, they are firmly in the title picture, sitting just three points off league leaders Arsenal. Nevertheless, the 1-0 win over Brentford in their previous league outing was a landmark victory for Pep Guardiola — his 250th in the top flight with the Citizens.
Judging by past encounters, City have had a hold over Everton, tasting victory in four of their past five meetings. While Everton were good value for their win over Crystal Palace as they arrested the Eagles’ 19-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, City represents a different challenge altogether.
Intriguingly, City have had few problems against the Toffees, winning three of their past four league clashes by a margin of two goals. Although there have been concerns about the extent of Rodri’s injury, I think City should have too much for Everton, and I’m drawn to City to fulfil the winning margin of two goals.
Tip 2: Man City Over 8.5 corners - 39/20
Although City are languishing in mid-table stats-wise for corners taken this term (31), they’ve earned six more than the number awarded to Everton.
More importantly, City have often dominated the corner count against David Moyes’ charges, and you have to go back to May 2023 when Everton received more corners against City, albeit it came in a 3-0 reverse at home.
In three of the previous four league clashes between these two sides, City have earned at least eight corners, so I don’t think it is too bold for me to suggest City could clinch Over 8.5 corners across the 90 minutes.
Tip 3: Man City to net first goal in 76th min or later - 9/1
The Premier League has been characterised by some dramatic last-gasp goals this term. While City have let advantages slip, such as against Arsenal last month, they have led for 423 minutes and 15 seconds in top-flight matches, a staggering 119 minutes and four seconds longer than any other side.
City, more pertinently, have a predilection for hitting the target late. This was evidenced by the two they netted in stoppage time at the end of the second half against Burnley in what was arguably a flattering scoreline.
In their last meeting against Everton in April, City struck their opening goal in the 84th minute. Two of the previous three encounters haven’t seen City break the deadlock until the 71st minute. To round things off, I’ve been bolder and gone with City to bulge the net for the first time in the 76th minute or later.
