Monaco vs Tottenham Predictions, Tips & Latest Odds

Tottenham's Champions League journey continues on Wednesday night, as they travel to Monaco looking to maintain an unbeaten start to their European campaign.
With a win and a draw in their opening two games, Spurs are in a good position to advance to the next stage of the competition but will be after a response after losing at home to Aston Villa on Sunday.
We've got a few betting tips to cast your eye over ahead of kick-off.
Monaco vs Tottenham Tips
Here are our three top football tips ahead of the game.
Tip 1: Monaco and Tottenham to end in draw - 13/5
For the second successive Champions League, Monaco will come into direct contact with Premier League opposition, having previously frustrated Manchester City after an absorbing 2-2 draw on Matchday 2.
Tottenham, of course, will be desperate to bounce back after a disappointing 2-1 reverse last weekend at home to Aston Villa, and I expressed my concerns before that game. Monaco, however, let’s not forget have a solid record against Tottenham, beating Thomas Frank’s charges 2-1 both home and away in the group stage in the 2016/17 Champions League campaign.
That said, Tottenham have only tasted defeat once in their past six away games to Ligue 1 outfits, and Monaco have been held in their past three matches in all competitions, suggesting they have become draw specialists.
Although Tottenham will consider the defeat to Villa, their first in the league since August, a mere blip, I’m not sure they will return to winning ways against Monaco. They haven’t set Europe alight so far this term, and for my opening gambit, I believe the honours could be shared.
Tip 2: Total Goals Over 3.5 - 29/20
Despite being in the early throes of the campaign, the Champions League has been a bit of a goal fest.
So far, the ball has hit the back of the net 129 times, with an average of 3.59 goals per match, and a goal scored every 25 minutes. Although Monaco and Tottenham have only scored a combined six goals in Europe’s elite competition, their recent matches have been high-scoring affairs.
Yes, Monaco have fulfilled the Over 3.5 goals in five of their past six matches in all comps, Tottenham’s games have been entertaining too. That included a nerve-inducing 2-2 draw with Bodo Glimt, where they mounted an extraordinary comeback when they were on the ropes.
I’m thinking we could be in for a treat, and the Over 3.5 goals line is calling out to me.
Tip 3: Ansu Fati to score the opening goal - 15/2
Injuries may have disrupted his career at times, and it’s easy to forget that Ansu Fati is only 22.
The former Barcelona prodigy, however, appears to be revitalised at Monaco, and he’s netted six times in all competitions in six appearances.
Fati’s searing pace could prove problems for Tottenham, and he could unlock the defence. I think he’ll add to his Champions League tally this season, and I like the look of Fati to open the scoring.
