Golf Betting Tips, Predictions & Odds: DP World India Championship

Rory McIlroy makes his first appearance since Team Europe's historic Ryder Cup triumph as he tees it up at this week's inaugural DP World India Championship.
And it's no shock that McIlroy is the pre-tournament favourite with sports betting sites, with fellow Ryder Cup heroes Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, and Shane Lowry also set to feature.
Free Bets golf expert Ben Smith takes a look at his golf betting tips for this weekend's action from Delhi Golf Club.
DP World India Championship Betting Tips
The DP World Tour returns to India this week for the DP World India Championship at the historic Delhi Golf Club, a venue that rewards finesse over power.
Measuring under 7,000 yards, the Lodhi Course is short by modern standards but remains one of the trickiest layouts on the circuit, with narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, subtly contoured greens.
Accuracy from the tee and a sharp short game are essential, as even the slightest error can lead to lost balls or costly recoveries. Expect a tactical test where patience, placement, and course management will be key.
Tip 1: Winner - Marcus Armitage (Each-Way) (6 places)
Itโs a hugely top-heavy field, featuring major champions Rory McIlroy, Brian Harman, and Shane Lowry, alongside Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood, Ben Griffin, and Viktor Hovland.
The course should suit most of those top names, making it difficult to find much value elsewhere. Instead of investing heavily in the second tier of contenders, Iโd rather take a small punt on outsiders like Marcus Armitage, who tends to excel on shorter setups.
His limited distance off the tee can be a hindrance on longer tracks, but that wonโt matter in Delhi, where control is far more valuable.
Five of the past seven champions here finished inside the top 10 for scrambling. Thatโs an area where Armitage truly stands out, thanks to his deft touch and creativity around the greens.
Tip 2: Winner - Alex Fitzpatrick (Each-Way) (6 places)
Aside from a T8 finish at the British Masters, it had been a tough run for Alex Fitzpatrick since early July, with no other top-30 results and a string of missed cuts marking a frustrating stretch of form.
He showed signs of progress with a solid third round at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at the start of October, before taking a major step forward at the Open de Espana, finishing ninth and gaining strokes through the bag.
Fitzpatrick is among the straighter hitters in the field, and this layout looks like one that should play to his strengths.
Tip 3: Winner - Jorge Campillo (Each-Way) (6 places)
Though recent results might not show it, Jorge Campilloโs ball-striking has been trending upward, and even last weekโs missed cut in Spain came after three closing bogeys rather than poor overall play.
His record in India speaks volumes, with four top-10 finishes in nine appearances, including a strong showing here in 2016.
Campilloโs precision-based game is perfectly suited to Delhi Golf Club, and if the putter behaves, the experienced Spaniard could once again find himself right in the mix.
Tip 4: Winner - Ajeetesh Sandhu (Each-Way) (6 places
Several home players teeing it up this week have produced strong results around Delhi Golf Club in the past. While those performances came against weaker opposition than theyโll face now, their familiarity with the course and comfort in these conditions shouldnโt be overlooked.
Anirban Lahiri has enjoyed huge success at this venue with four wins between 2011 and 2015, but itโs Ajeetesh Sandhu who really catches the eye at a huge price. Heโs been remarkably consistent at Delhi Golf Club, posting finishes of 1-2-3-2 in his last four appearances, highlighted by his triumph at last yearโs Vishwa Samudra Open.
Replicating that against this weekโs elite line-up will be a tall order, but sneaking into the places certainly isnโt out of the question.
