The best arrowsmiths in the world have landed in the Big Apple as darts goes all glitz and glamour on us out in New York.
It’s the sixth staging of this tournament across the pond, and with four previous winners in the last five there is plenty to play for inside the historic Madison Square Garden.
Michael van Gerwen is your reigning champion from 2023 (doubling up from his inaugural win in 2017) and Gary Anderson, Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall have all enjoyed success in New York, but it’s the Lukes that arrive in 2024 as the betting favourites with the top bookmakers.
Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have contested the last two major finals against each other finishing 1-1 after the World Championship and Premier League Final, and we could have seen the genesis of the next big rivalry in the sport.

Luke “The Nuke” got his hands on his first “biggun” last week, beating world number one Luke Humphries in an entertaining Premier League final.

So it’s no surprise he comes into this one as a 9/4 joint-favourite with Luke Humphries, as he has been swatting aside most of those he has come up against over the last couple of months.
Littler seems to thrive on the big occasion and a debut inside Madison Square Gardens isn’t going to phase Littler in the slightest.
He opens up against Canadian Matt Campbell, and is likely to face former world number one Michael Smith in the quarter-finals.
Luke Humphries to win the 2024 US Darts Masters
Despite just missing out on the Premier League title, Luke Humphries remains the world number one and the man to beat on the oche.
Humphries has now reached the final at a minimum in five of the big seven ranking tournaments, and his game doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon.
His domination over certain players (including a seven-match winning streak over Michael van Gerwen) is a good illustration of how consistent he has become in the big matches, and 9/4 says he can add his name to the US Darts Masters roll of honour.
He’s in the trickier half of the draw with Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen in his way.
Michael van Gerwen to win the 2024 US Darts Masters
Despite being down at 9/2, you can’t ever write off Michael van Gerwen.
The Dutchman hasn’t been at his best over the past month or two, but with two US Darts Masters under his belt, his muscle memory may kick in now he can say goodbye to a blotchy Premier League campaign.
He’ll have to end his seven-match losing streak against Humphries however, and could meet the world number one in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Nathan Aspinall to win the 2024 US Darts Masters
After narrowly missing out on the Premier League playoffs, 2019 US Darts Masters champion Nathan Aspinall is out to prove a point in New York.
The world number five has been one of the most consistent players in 2024 and will be looking to convert this form into silverware in the Big Apple.
Aspinall starts off against Stowe Buntz and will be angling for a mouth-watering quarter-final against Luke Humphries.
