Aintree Bowl Latest Odds
The latest Aintree Bowl odds with UK betting sites shows that this year's race is a wide-open contest with five of the eight runners priced at shorter than 10/1, headed by Grey Dawning for trainer Dan Skelton.
Grey Dawning skipped the Cheltenham Gold Cup to focus on this race and comes in fresh after a convincing victory over Grand National contender Iroko at Kelso at the start of March.
Spillane’s Tower also swerved Cheltenham following a disappointing run in the King George VI Chase, but Jimmy Mangan’s runner will have conditions to suit at Aintree and won twice last Spring.
Willie Mullins has a strong hand in the race, with Gaelic Warrior returning after missing Cheltenham due to poor work at home following the Dublin Racing Festival.
Stablemate Embassy Gardens, who landed the New Year’s Day Chase at Tramore before finishing 6th behind Galopin Des Champs at the DRF, will also line up and is the choice of jockey Paul Townend.
Paul Nicholls’ Stage Star proved he stays further when finishing runner-up to L’Homme Presse in the Cotswold Chase, and the Grade One winner heads into this race fresh.
Ahoy Senor - a two-time winner at Aintree - will need to bounce back from a fall in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, while The Real Whacker, who did complete in the Gold Cup, will aim to build on that effort here.
Meanwhile, Denman Chase winner Djelo will step back up in trip after finishing seventh in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham three weeks ago.
