Blackpool and Wigan will face off at Bloomfield Road in what could be a pivotal League One clash on Monday evening.
We’re over a quarter of the way through the campaign, and things aren’t looking great for either side if truth be told.
Wigan are just three points above the relegation zone in 18th spot, and they have lost their last two games on the spin, and that included a 2-0 defeat away to Cambridge.
Blackpool, on the other hand, are only two points better off than the Latics, but the basics let them down against Peterborough last week as they slumped to a 5-1 hammering.
Both of these sides, let’s not forget, have a rich history, but they have fallen on harder times of late.
But how will things pan out? I’ve rummaged through the markets and delivered a couple of Blackpool Wigan predictions and free bet tips for you to consider.
Tangerines to squeeze out sorry Wigan
For sides that used to have lofty ambitions, being in the doldrums in League One wasn’t what they would have envisaged a few years ago.

Two of these have resulted in 1-0 victories for the home side, so it could be keenly contested.

Given the lack of quality from both sides displayed in open play this term, dead-ball situations seem more likely as to where Blackpool and Wigan will pose a threat.
In their previous League outings, Blackpool and Wigan had a combined seven corners awarded.
Making corners count will be vital and a defensive lapse could prove to be decisive.
