DP World Tour Golf Betting Tips & Betting Offers: Australian PGA Championship

This week's DP World Tour golf betting tips comes from the Australian PGA Championship as the 2025 season begins.
Just a few days after Rory McIlroy was named the European number one for a sixth time to go along with the coveted DP World Tour Championship, we’re now scuttling off Down Under.
The Royal Queensland Golf Club in Brisbane will host this event, and just because it has PGA Championship in the event name, it doesn’t qualify as a major.
There will be plenty of home heroes trying to impress and light things up when the tournament gets underway on Thursday.
Since opening in 1920, the Royal Queensland Golf Club plays as a par 71, but the average score falls just below that figure.
With water in play on just four holes, there should be plenty of birdie opportunities and Jed Morgan (262) holds the course record, a score he set in 2021.
How will things pan out this week? I’ve examined the markets and settled on a couple of DP Tour golf betting tips for you to consider, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
DP World Tour Golf Betting Tips - Australian PGA Championship
Cameron Smith to make a statement
Having defected to the LIV Tour over two years ago, it is all too easy to forget Cameron Smith’s innate talent.
While the feisty Australian has lit things up on LIV, and has secured a myriad of top-10 finishes this term, we will get a rare sighting of him on the PGA Tour in his homeland this week.
Smith has relished competing in the BMW Australian PGA Championship, a tournament in which he has triumphed on three occasions, with his most recent win in 2022.
By all accounts, Smith hasn’t had a great year on the Major front and his nadir was an opening round of 80 in the Open Championship.
Although Min Woo Lee will be looking to defend his title, his putter has gone a bit cold of late.
Smith, on the other hand, can get on a roll, and he could make Lee pay for any putts left short or misreads.
Despite trading as the favourite, I’m plumping on Smith at 15/2 with Paddy Power to take the title once again.
Lucas Herbert to come firing out of blocks
Although the field is stacked with Aussie talent, Lucas Herbert ought not to be overlooked.
Last week, he won in front of friends and family at the New South Wales Open, producing a round of -4 (67) to win by three strokes.
He pipped Smith to the title, and while he might not get the better of Smith this time.
To round off my DP Tour golf betting tips, I’m going with Herbert to shoot the lowest round of the day on Thursday and top the leaderboard. A 22/1 price is ready to be seized on at bet365 should you fancy.
