DP World Tour Golf Betting Tips & Betting Offers: DP World Tour Championship

After Paul Waring's win in Abu Dhabi last week, it all comes down to the DP World Tour Championship in this week's golf betting tips.
This event always provokes plenty of interest, and in the new playoff format, there will be a condensed 50-man field, cut by 20 from last week.
I’m on hand to give the lowdown on what to expect and share some DP Tour golf betting tips for your perusal, plus the top golf betting offers from the best golf betting sites.
DP World Tour Golf Betting Tips - DP World Tour Championship
DP World Tour Championship Preview
Paul Waring produced some stunning golf as he walked away with his first Rolex Series title and only his second win on the DP World Tour last Sunday in Abu Dhabi.
Despite the likes of Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, and Tyrrell Hatton (my pick) trying to turn up the heat, an overall score of -24 was enough for Waring to win by two strokes.
Of course, Waring will be remembered for his sublime round of 61, and his victory saw the 39-year-old catapult to fifth in the Race to Dubai rankings.
McIlroy, meanwhile, appears to be in prime position to land the Harry Vardon trophy once again, although Thriston Lawrence will be hoping to be the party pooper.
For Lawrence to usurp the Ulsterman, he will have to win at the Earth course, but that may not be enough if McIlroy finishes solo 11th or better this week.
Tommy Fleetwood to come full circle
Like some of the players teeing it up this week, Tommy Fleetwood has an affinity with this part of the world.
At the beginning of the year, Fleetwood clinched his seventh DP World Tour win at the Dubai Invitational, and he is coming off the back of an impressive run of results.
A T12 at the BMW PGA Championship was his worst return in his past four appearances, and he has been impressive with his iron play.
A few birdie putts may have slid past him at the Abu Dhabi Championship, but a 67 in the final round saw him come home in T6, and he was in contention.
The track this week is a Greg Norman-designed course that boasts plenty of generous fairways. The par three 17th has an island green, and it draws some parallels with the iconic 17th hole at the Players Championship on the PGA Tour.
While my pick Hatton came up just short last week, I have faith in Fleetwood. For my opening gambit DP Tour golf betting tips-wise, I’m leaning into Fleetwood to crown an excellent season in style with a victory, and he’s priced at a juicy 8/1 with BetVictor.
Thorbjorn Olesen to lay some foundations in Round 1
Thorjborn Olesen may seem unassuming, but he’s made significant progress this term.
Sitting 12th in the Race to Dubai rankings, the Dane has been in sensational form. Three top-10 finishes in his past three starts on the DP World Tour would suggest so, and he has plenty of game.
On the stats front, he ranks very well for putts per green in regulation (eight), average putts per round (seventh) and sand saves (second).
Olesen has been accustomed to making quick starts of late, and he opened at the Abu Dhabi Championshionship with a 63.
To round off my tips, I’m going with Olesen to be the leader after Round 1, and he’s available at an intriguing 22/1 with bet365.
