Latest Manchester United injury news before Bournemouth

Manchester United are set to travel down south to face Bournemouth in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off this week.

Man United have won just one of their last five league games, though they have faced Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in that run. Bournemouth’s form has improved of late but the Cherries remain inconsistent at home. Back Manchester United to beat Bournemouth at 6/4 with bet365.

Manchester United injury update

Here is the latest Manchester United injury news ahead of their clash with Bournemouth.

Marcus Rashford appeared to be struggling with an injury and signalled to the bench before being taken off vs Liverpool over the weekend.

It is not clear what issue the forward has picked up, though Erik ten Hag suggested post-match that Rashford will face a short spell on the sidelines.

Raphael Varane was taken off during Manchester United’s recent collapse vs Chelsea. He missed the Liverpool draw and his return date is currently unknown. Ten Hag said of the centre-back post-Liverpool: “I don’t think at short notice they will return.”

Finally, Lisandro Martinez picked up a calf issue during training earlier this month, which has once again ruled the defender out.

The initial prognosis of the injury is a lay-off of around a month, meaning he is likely to miss the majority of the remaining 2023/24 season.
