If any meeting between Liverpool and Manchester City is usually considered as a titanic clash, then the latter of those two outfits have certainly been something of a shipwreck by their own standards.

Top of the shop at home, the same being said for Europe and after getting the better of Champions League holders Real Madrid in midweek, Arne Slot’s men also continued their perfect start to the competition’s new format.
Five league wins from five when it comes to continental clashes – the only team of 36 to do so and with duel dominance on both fronts, it seems as if the sky is the limit for Liverpool’s current evolution under manager Slot.
Now though, they will look to reach for the sky against a City side that looked like it had finally ended a run of five successive defeats on Tuesday night and with them being three goals clear at home to Feyenoord, why would you think anything else would happen?
