Manchester City Next Manager Odds: Could Pep Guardiola Leave?

Manchester City suffered yet another defeat on Sunday, with a 2-0 loss at Anfield. During the game, Liverpool fans were heard chanting towards Pep Guardiola that he would be sacked in the morning. That hasn't happened, but just in case, it's time to look at the next Manchester City manager odds market with UK betting sites.
Next Manchester City Manager Odds
The betting market for this is wide open, but actually, it remains very similar to how we've seen it before. There was speculation in the summer that this would be Pep Guardiola's last season, and on top of that, even more talk before he signed a new contract.
Now, the market is back in play with many football betting sites, with City falling to their sixth defeat in the last seven, with the other game ending a draw, they've not won since October 26.
Three names have been at the head of the market for some time. A promotion from within City Football, a manager regarded as one of the best young managers in Europe, and a club legend.
Herrero Michel
An appointment spoken about by many people is the move to take Herrero Michel from Girona, owned by the City Group, and move him into the hot seat at Manchester City.
He's worked wonders for Girona, taking them to this season's Champions League, but that's all come when operating as the underdog, with limited funds compared to some.
At City, the pressure is on, funds are bigger, many large signings are made, it's a different world.
But it would be no surprise to find out that Michel moving from Girona to City was planned all along. He's 6/1 to take the job with Paddy Power, jointly leading the betting market.
Xabi Alonso
When Liverpool fans were singing at Guardiola on Sunday, I wondered if the thought crossed their mind that his replacement could be a Liverpool legend.
Once talked about as being a certainty for the Liverpool job, that didn't happen, and I'm sure we'll see Alonso favourite with bookmakers whenever a big job in Europe comes us.
He knows the Premier League, has won the German title, proven his credentials, and I think it's only a matter of time before he gets a big job.
Vincent Kompany
A club legend, Vincent Kompany will go down as being one of the City greats during their Premier League glory years, he's now in management, at Bayern Munich.
He's got the experience of being at a big club, has managed in the Premier League with Burnley and of course, knows it, and City, inside out.
A real fan favourite, I think he'd split opinions, some would want him, while others would worry a management return would tarnish his playing reputation, if things went wrong.
