Next Wolves Manager Odds: Brendan Rodgers To Replace Vitor Pereira?
Will Jackson
The dust has barely settled on his dramatic departure from Celtic, but Brendan Rodgers has emerged as the favourite to replace under-fire Wolves boss Vitor Pereira.
Wolves are six points from safety in the Premier League, having picked up just two points so far this season and could act quickly to bring in Rodgers, with sports betting sites backing him as favourite to step in at Molineux.
The Free Bets team has taken a closer look at Rodgers' credentials and why he could make an immediate return to management, along with the other candidates should Wolves dismiss Pereira.

Brendan Rodgers
It's hardly a ringing endorsement when your former chairman describes you as "divisive, misleading, and self-serving", but that's what Dermot Desmond said about Rodgers after his quick departure from Celtic on Monday night.
It might not be too hard to read into these words and deduce that Rodgers may have been planning his exit from Celtic Park for a while and had his eyes on another role - Wolves anyone?
Despite their relegation when he was at Leicester, he broadly did a good job last time in the Premier League and is recognised as a good coach, but it will be interesting to see how this Celtic departure has harmed his reputation.
Rodgers is used to dealing with different nationalities and delivering good football while maintaining positive results, but it could be a big ask for him to go right in at Wolves at this stage of the season and turn things around given what has just happened.
Ole Gunnar Solskjรฆr
The former Manchester United manager is currently out of work having been sacked by Besiktas despite a relatively decent record, having missed out on Champions League qualification at the start of the season.
As time goes on, the job he did at Old Trafford looks better and better and his record stands as one of the better ones since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
However things fell apart when he approved the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo and that failure to deal with the egos in the team could raise significant alarm bells for big clubs in the Premier League.
He's likely to find himself linked to quite a few jobs in the coming months with a lack of obvious candidates on the market, but he doesn't feel like the best fit right now for Wolves although he could make sense as a short-term appointment to boost morale in the squad.
Sergio Conceicao
Sergio Conceicao would be an ambitious appointment to replace Vรญtor Pereira at Wolves, bringing intensity, tactical discipline, and a proven ability to get the best out of players.
During his time at Porto, Conceicao built teams that were aggressive, organised, and fearless against stronger opposition, often punching above their financial weight in Europe.
His sides pressed relentlessly, defended with structure, and countered with pace โ a style that would align perfectly with Wolvesโ traditional identity of direct, high-energy football built on work rate and quick transitions.
He only lasted six months with AC Milan and has since spent time in Saudi Arabia - he was only appointed at the start of October - so it might not be ideal timing for him, but it depends how ambitious he is in his managerial career.
Should Wolves survive this season, it would be no surprise to see him in the dugout next year but is he really likely to leave a lucrative deal with Al-Ittihad for a relegation battle? I'm not so sure.
Kevin Muscat
Kevin Muscat is quickly developing a reputation as an excellent manager, having followed a similar trajectory to Ange Postecoglou - a man he has been assistant to twice.
He was sought after by Rangers both in the summer and more recently, but remains at Shanghai Port where he has an excellent record.
It would be a huge jump to go from there to the Premier League and a relegation battle, but given his years of service for the club - he played there between 1997 and 2002 - he would inject some life and optimism into the stands, which could give them a huge boost in the fight against relegation.
He seems sure to move over to the UK at some point, but right now it's hard to see a Premier League club taking the leap.
