Premier League Opening Weekend Preview
The Premier League kick off is tonight, with Manchester United hosting Fulham in a game at Old Trafford.
Go back a week, and Manchester United played in the Community Shield, looking ok in parts, but eventually losing on penalties to Manchester City.
The Saturday lunchtime kick off is a first for both teams involved. A first chance to see Ipswich Town back in the Premier League and also a first chance to see Arne Slot take charge of a competitive Liverpool game.
At 3pm we’ve got four games, they feature title second favourites Arsenal, who host Wolves, and also Southampton, the second of the promoted teams to kick off this weekend.
The games on Saturday end with the tea time kick off, which is in London and sees West Ham host Aston Villa.
We have two games on Sunday, both live on TV and kick off with Brentford v Crystal Palace.
While that may not be the biggest Sunday fixture, the one after can certainly challenge for that title, as Chelsea host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
Plenty of eyes will be on Chelsea, a fascinating club to watch unfold this season, and of course, City are defending champions, this one is the game of the weekend for me.
The Premier League weekend stretches into Monday night, the last of 10 games to take place, and the third of the promoted teams to kick off.
Leicester are the hosts, and they welcome Tottenham to the King Power Stadium for this one, the final clash of week one in the Premier League.
