After the opening weekend of Euro 2024, it is time for Group E to get underway on Monday with Romania and Ukraine facing each other in Munich.
Although Group B can be considered as the ‘Group of Death’, Group E by comparison could be considered the ‘Group of Life’, with Belgium and Slovakia the other two teams competing.
We’ve looked at some of the best football betting offers, odds and markets from our range of football betting sites to provide you with Romania v Ukraine betting tips.

There are difficult draws within the group stage of the European Championships and there are also easier ones and when you look at the construction of Group E, both Romania and Ukraine will be delighted with the draw that they have been handed.
Because with Belgium’s golden generation now starting to fade away, the Red Devils are not the nation that was necessarily feared at the start of the decade and although Domenico Tedesco’s men are favourites to top of the table, their showing in Qatar in 2022 shows they can be got at.
Which certainly gives both Romania and Ukraine reason to be cheerful and another reason will be the installation of Slovakia into Group E. Also add a group format that only guarantees one exit and not two and all these other three nations will be looking to take points off of each other.
This in itself offers an interesting backdrop to Monday’s meeting in Munich and with a single group stage win giving you a much greater chance of knockout football, the conundrum is whether to go for the jugular or simply get off the board.
If you are Romanian manager Edward Iordănescu, you may be tempted to go for the latter and with his players toiling to back-to-back pre-tournament bore draws, preparations have not been the most exhilarating.
A goalless draw at home to Bulgaria was soon followed up with the same outcome at home to Liechtenstein and because of these two performances, there has been little in the way of fanfare before their trip to Germany.
However, there has been more fanfare when looking at their opponents at the start of the week and although Serhiy Rebrov’s side were well beaten by Poland in the first of their pre-tournament friendlies, confidence was soon restored with a comprehensive win over Moldova soon after.
A win that saw Ukraine get the better of their former Soviet cousins by four goals to nil and after having a rather impressive season for Girona and helping them to Champions League football, Artem Dovbyk helped himself to the third of the four goals that evening.
Dovbyk was only a substitute in Chisinau, but international teammate Mkhyalio Mudryk started from the off and although he still has more to offer employers Chelsea, he always has plenty to offer his national team.
But now it is time for the first of my two tips and because of Romania’s ability to keep clean sheets in recent friendlies, it is the draw and under 2.5 goals that appeals to me at the Allianz Arena. A Monday afternoon stalemate can be backed at 3/1.
In addition to this, the referees always like to stamp their authority in the tournament’s early stages and what better way to do so than by pointing to the spot. If Romania score from 12 yards thereafter, this second tip pays out odds of 9/1.
