- Australia to win, Zampa to take 2+ wickers, Head & Pant both to score 20+ runs - 14/1 with William Hill
Australia’s shock defeat to Afghanistan overnight has left them with a problem. If they get beat by India in their final game of the Super 8s, there is every chance their tournament would be over.
That would be the case with an India win and victory for Afghanistan over Bangladesh on Tuesday morning.
But I don’t think that will happen. Before a ball was bowled in the Caribbean, I said I thought Australia would win the title and India wouldn’t.
Now, I thought India - an ageing side - would be tested more than they have been so far. However, I’m going to stick with my original gut and say the Australians will bounce back from their 21-run defeat to Afghanistan and save their skin.
Such is the strength of India’s net run-rate, a defeat would likely still see them through if themselves, Australia and Afghanistan all finish on four points.
I like BetUK’s 23/20 on an Australia win here.

India v Australia T20 World Cup Betting Tips
Amazing Adam to continue fine form
Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa is, at time of writing, the second leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 13 wickets. He has taken at least one wicket in every game, including two wickets on four occasions and one four-for.
With that in mind, bet365′s 7/4 on him take two wickets in this fixture has significant appeal, as does Betfred’s 100/30 on him to be Australia’s top bowler in the match.
Before completing this blockbuster fixture between the two giants for our T20 World Cup Betting Tips preview, I want to move across the Caribbean to Antigua and dip into an early morning clash.
Quids in Quinny - Again!
West Indies face South Africa overnight (1:30am) in England’s group.
We have had success with South African opener Quinton de Kock in the last two games, with him scoring 65 in beating England on Friday having hit 74 in their victory over USA on Wednesday.
De Kock has a superb in-tournament record, and I see no reason to divert away from him, especially given he’s available to be South Africa’s top batter in that fixture at a a juicy 16/5 with betfair.
Head’s up for our Bet Builder to finish
Let’s finish this T20 World Cup Betting Tips preview with a 14/1 four-fold from bet365. I have gone for an Australia win, for Adam Zampa to claim two or more wickets in the match, for Travis Head to score 20 or more runs and for Rishabh Pant to do the same for India.
Both left-handers have achieved that feat on four occasions in this tournament. Opener Head has played six matches and Pant - batting at three for India - has featured in five. India had one match rained off.
