New Slot Games - October 2024
1. Twister
Release Date | October 1 |
Developer | NetEnt |
RTP | 96.04% | 94.05% | 88.02% |
Max Win | 4,300x |
Min/Max Bet | 0.20/100 |
Remember the classic family game Twister? Of course you do, well strap in for more fun because you can now play it in the form of an online slot thanks to NetEnt's latest release.
What we have in the gameplay is a 4x6 grid and graphics that will have you harking back to Christmas games when you've had too many drinks and realise you can't hold your own weight anymore, except this time you're living it through a screen.
Twister has a healthy RTP, minimum bets of €0.20 up to €100 per spin and a max win of 4,300x the bet. There are loads of winning combinations available and plenty of fun aspects to the game, making it a great nostalgic game to get your teeth stuck into.
2. The Dog House Muttley Crew
Release Date | October 3 |
Developer | Pragmatic Play |
RTP | 96.50% | 95.52% | 94.47% |
Max Win | 7,500x |
Min/Max Bet | 0.20/240 |
We've seen plenty of versions of The Dog House over the years, starting with the originally titled slot before additions such as Megaways, Multihold and Western versions, and now we can add a The Dog House Muttley Crew to that list - which is essentially a pirate-themed version of the game.
If you remember the original, this version isn't a whole lot different. Yes you get to see the dogs all dressed up in their pirate gear and some refreshed graphics, but with the sticky wild multipliers added into the mix, it offers a pretty good path towards big wins.
The RTP is good, minimum bets go up to €240 and we have a maximum win of 7,500x the bet. All in all, it is hardly an innovative but the free spins option is a handy addition and keeps the game fresh enough and an enjoyable addition to the series.
3. Barbarossa Revenge DoubleMax
Release Date | October 1 |
Developer | Peter & Sons |
RTP | 96.30% | 94% | 90.50% |
Max Win | 30,000x |
Min/Max Bet | 0.20/50 |
We have another sequel on our hands here, with Barbarossa Revenge DoubleMax the sequel to Barbarossa DoubleMax and some pretty cool graphics along too - slightly more adventurous than some of the other slots we have already reviewed.
The DoubleMax already offered great value in terms of winnings, with the win multiplier along the bottom of the screen a firm favourite as it offers great returns, and this game doesn't differ too much from that, instead focusing more on the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' motto.
The new features include wild cascades, more win multipliers, golden multipliers and free spins and means there is enough in there to keep people coming back for more, meaning that while max bet limits are lower than other games there is still plenty of value to be had with a max win of 30,000x.
4. 5 Doggy Millionaires Dream Drop
Release Date | October 8 |
Developer | 4ThePlayer |
RTP | 96% | 94% (Dream Drop) |
Max Win | 3,141x/15,038x (non Dream Drop) |
Min/Max Bet | 0.10/60 |
Next up we have another returning favourite, with 5 Doggy Millionaires Dream Drop the sequel to 5 Doggy Dollars, with similar graphics and gameplay layout instead this time we have dogs who are, yep you guessed it, apparently millionaires.
Anyway enough about the appearance - it is essentially just a rebrand of the original - this game is available both with Dream Drop in the title and without, so keep an eye out because you'll probably want to pick the game with the progressive jackpot available (in Double Drop).
If you take the Dream Drop into account there is plenty to like here, even if the RTP drops to 94%. There are max wins of 3,411.1x and 15,038.8x (for the non-Dream Drop) but really, would you want to play the non Dream Drop version?
5. Rabid Randy
Release Date | October 8 |
Developer | NetEnt |
RTP | 96.06% | 95.05% | 93.05% | 91.05% |
Max Win | 19,000x |
Min/Max Bet | 0.10/250 |
The final slot we're looking at that has come onto the scene in October is NetEnt's Rabid Randy, a pretty fun game based on some sort of horror hunting trip, but it is a fairly volatile one as the RTP will suggest.
There is a very appealing max win figure of 19,000x the bet but apart from that and the obvious graphics, this is a very familiar game when compared to another NetEnt favourite in Rome The Golden Age.
The opportunity to build some big multiplier values is a big plus with Rabid Randy, and with a very high max bet value there is some real potential to win big. There are plenty of extra bonuses and free spins available, and with the fun graphics it's just a pretty good game all-round, so it's the thumbs up from us.
